RWB & Clauson kick off the 2010 Season At East BayFebruary 2010

Bryan Clauson makes his debut in the Rotondo Weirich Benic #2b Sprint car at the Bubba Army Sprint Nationals. February 8th, 9th and 10th mark the beginning of the 2010 USAC National Sprint Season at East Bay Raceway Park, Gibsonton, Florida. RWB is postured for a winning season with Clauson piloting the Champion Brands, Maxim, Gaerte Chevy powered Sprint car. The entire RWB Racing Team is excited to kick off the season at the Florida venue, leaving the snow for the warmer shores of the bay side city. Coming off of a successful 2009 with over 20 USAC victories, Clauson joins the seasoned RWB team looking to get a jump on this year’s points race.

Clauson is gearing up for the USAC opener, “I’m really excited to get down to Florida and kick off the 2010 season with Scott Benic and the whole RWB team. I feel like we’ve got the team and people in place to make a strong run at the national championship.” The RWB Team enters its third year running in the National Sprint series. Combining this with a more than a decade of Silver Crown experience including the achievement of 2008’s National Championship as well as last year’s National Midget Championship, the team looks to build on the momentum of past successes and the fresh enthusiasm and talent of a new generation of drivers.

Scott Benic also expressed his anticipation for next week’s triple header, “Obviously we look to start off with a bang and leave Florida with the lead point spot to start our season. The addition of Bryan Clauson to our team automatically builds on our existing strengths.” Echoing Benic’s statement with his trademark passion is Steve Weirich, “Our excitement for this new season is tangible - working with the quality of character and level of talent possessed by Bryan Clauson and Scott Benic creates an environment where success is inevitable. It is the strong work ethic and collaborative team efforts, consistent within both the Rotondo Weirich and RWB organizations, that propel us forward. We work hard, we work together and we have fun.”
